I wasn't supposed to be a music artist. But I believe you must live the life you imagine for yourself (& dream BIG). Join me on this journey!

What Can Happen When You Dream BIG

What Can Happen When You Dream BIG

My sister Pa Kou shared this quote with me yesterday.

“Whhhhhyyyy sooo truuuueee,” she added.

“So freakin true,” I remarked.

I needed this.

There’s been a lot of resistance recently in my life. I’ve been somewhat MIA online. And the plans I’m making for the rest of the year have taken a loooong time to get here. (Mind you -- just the plans, not the actions.)

Well, what I want to create in the last five months of 2017 is something I’ve never done before. Yet it’s something I’ve always wanted to do as a music artist.

So you’d think every morning, knowing that I’ve made plans, I’d wake up excitedly anticipating and tackling those plans head on, right?

WARNING: What I’m about to tell you does not make me proud. At all.

I hit 'snooze' every morning. Trust me, Mom, I give myself enough heat already.

And all those plans? I cringed every time I wrote something challenging down (i.e. asking someone for help).

For example, tonight on my schedule, I will be calling someone who’s had lots of experience with what I want to create. Even though I’ve had dinner multiple times with this person, the thought of doing it scares me.

Rule of thumb: The more important a call
or action is to our soul’s evolution, the more
Resistance we will feel toward pursuing it.

This is for you if you’ve been having resistance in your own life too.

You know what you want.
You’ve made a plan.
But taking action is scaring the heck out of you.

I get it. I’m right there with you.

But I know you and I can agree on this one thing: this “something” is what we truly, deeply want. We’ve been thinking about it for years. It’s our soul’s calling, and it ain’t backin’ down. It’s gonna fight for it, ‘cause it knows you want it just as bad.

So inevitably, the only way out is through the resistance. It’s facing this resistance that will lead us out of the dark, out of our own egos, and out of our self-imposed limitations.

Hey, I’m telling myself this too. Again and again and again.

Listen, beautiful, it’s all a part of what can happen when you dream BIG. Now let’s get on with it!

Until next time...

Dream BIG,

P.S. I hope to share more with you on this “something” in the near future!

YOUR TURN! Have you been facing some resistance in your own life around your dreams, goals, or aspirations? I’d love to hear from you, so please leave a comment below!
